LaLove Designs by Sarah Raquel LaLonde
I design and hand-make women’s wear dresses, separates, and accessories that are sophisticated and feminine, yet playful and comfortable! I love mixing silhouettes, textures, and styles, pulling inspiration from art and life. I graduated from Brooks College in Long Beach, CA with a degree in fashion design and was featured in California Apparel News for my final collection, which was described as “smartly tailored sexy secretary pieces.” That’s a huge compliment in my book because I place tremendous value on tailoring, fit, and quality. I learned some great dressmaking and fitting tips at my internship with Kiki Originals, a custom bridal and formal gown shop in Long Beach. I moved back home to Indiana, where I eventually started the blog on this website, which helped me move forward into starting my own line.
Why the name LaLove?
It’s a play on my last name, but it’s also an homage to LA where I was blessed to study fashion. Most importantly, though, it’s a reminder that this fashion line is a way to use my talent to bless other people and show the love of God wherever I can.
I design for women who are strong, confident, and love being fashion forward. I want to spend my career making high quality clothing and accessories to help women exude their inner creativity, life, and fun.
